Formerly known as Crockett-Deane Ballet, Sac Civic Ballet was founded in 1996, by Directors Don & Allyson Schwennesen, as an extension of the Deane Dance Center to give its beautiful young dancers more performing opportunities. Sac Civic Ballet continues to promote the art to aspiring dancers of all ages. We believe that each dancer has something special to offer.
Sac Civic Ballet conducts classes, rehearsals and performances to benefit these dancers by the beauty and discipline of classical dance. The heritage of classical ballet offers a wonderful expression of human emotions and adventures which allow young artists to fully understand themselves and appreciate their world. Since its inception, this young company has been able to produce The Story of Sleeping Beauty, Sweet Coppelia and The Story of Noah's Ark, all of which have given many challenging roles to all Company Members to develop and enhance their growing techniques.
The Sac Civic Ballet is a non-profit organization developed solely for the purpose of Arts Education for young dancers.
